Most all of the formal proofs are shown in 2:3 ratio. For standing couples I think this provides a nice blend of subject size and background. In a few cases, especially with groups, the 4:5 ratio works best and I have shown the proofs in this size.
The examples below show the same photograph in the different size ratios.
In most cases the photos can be printed either way without a problem.

All photos are hand processed and retouched prior to printing.

This is 2:3 ratio and is how 4 x 6, 6 x 9 and 8 x 12 prints will look.
5 x 7 will be a little wider.
This is 4:5 ratio and is how 4 x 5 and
8 x 10 prints will look.
